TRAINING;- Our staff, volunteers and clients themselves all participate in a wide variety of training provided by our Training Practitioner. We can arrange a wide variety of training for anyone with an interest in being an ally for inclusion whether that be parents, agencies or organizations.
SUPPORTING PEOPLE;- We use direct support to assist people with additional needs to access opportunities to improve the quality of their lives, socially, educationally, physically and intellectually.
THE ZONE;- A youth club where we help young people build up confidence and prepare for transition to local clubs and community activities. The Zone is run on Monday evenings at our premises.
PERSON CENTRED PLANNING;- Offers an opportunity to focus on what an individual wants and hopes to achieve. In the presence of family, friends and, when appropriate, representatives of other agencies, the individual has the chance to express what they want out of life. A Map or Path is drawn. We look at what has and hasn't worked in the past and, together, devise ways to enable the individual to reach their goals.
The Inclusion Group is a registered charity formed by a group of parents and professionals who wanted to see more inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities/additional support needs. We received the essential funding to open an office and employ our first coordinator in 1998. Operating in the Dundee area, we currently have a number of different projects working towards supporting people within mainstream activities, and also providing much needed support to the family as a whole to help them plan for the future. 41 North Lindsay Street 01382 322677 / 322777WELCOME
